Falling to friends.

Wow, times flies right on bye!!
I swear it ain’t no lie.
Don’t look now but it moves so well.
So long ago now, way back when we were young.

We fell so deeply that we didn’t even know we fell at all.
You moved me inside and I did the same for you.
Friends, yes, friends we promised right to the end.
If we only knew way back when, if only.

We would have known that what we felt was love.
A road head to glory was ours but we took the dead end.
A love so true and real that it never would have grown old.
It would have been cherished till the end.

We fell so quietly, others saw it and yet we denied it.
We wanted to be friends till the end.
Overlooking a love that would carry us to that end.
We ignored it and choose a path so different.

Our love was so pure and so natural.
Coming straight from the heart.
Something so beautiful right before you.
And yet so blind were we to just be friends.

Friends we are and friends we will always be.
Years have come and years have gone for sure.
Friends we still are now and always for sure.
That we decided so long ago.

It wakes me often and yet it is so real.
We have grown old but the nightmare is the same.
Years go by but it still comes and wakes me.
Reminds of the days when I was so numb.
