As I walk alone.
Following the well worn trail.
I can’t help but wonder.
Wonder who has come before.
Wonder who will come after.
Has greatness walked here before?
Will greatness walk here after?
Who measures the greatness of a man?
Does it matter on the trail?
We are all equal in these steps.
Not one better than another.
In the end we are the same.
We follow the trail.
We follow those who have come before.
We will be followed by another tomorrow.
Is my step greater than yours?
Is your step greater than mine?
We are equal in these steps.
None greater than another.
Each has its’ own meaning.
Each taken in its’ own time.
Placed with its’ own purpose.
With another to follow.

Is your very own destiny.
Those who have walked before us
Are no greater for walking first.
I am not greater for walking before you.
You are no greater for walking next.
