Following you…..

I am following you, trying to keep up.
You know the road we are on.
You go go go. I am trying to keep up.
Then you disappear around the bend.

I am thinking have lost you.
Only to see you again around the bend.
Not slowing at bit as I try to keep up.
Moving so fast and trying to keep you insight.

You know where you are going.
I only hope to follow.
When we stop and pick the flowers.
It seems this can last forever.

Then off you go again.
I am following.
The ride is slower and then you floor it.
And I am trying to look through the dust.

Just wondering where you have gone.
Wondering how we go from so slow to so gone.
Left driving on the road to nowhere.
Wishing I was still on the road to paradise.

Just trying to catch my prize.
You are the prize and wow, what a prize too.
The dream is to ride with you and have to follow.
So days it seems likely and then others you hit the gas again.

I need a map to follow you.
I am ready to go on all the roads.
And take them on with you.
It doesn’t matter who drives and who follows.

I just want to travel with you.
Not get lost in a cloud of dust.
Hoping to see you ahead again.
Slow down and lets go together.

Paradise is ahead.
Let us go together.
It is much better if shared by two.
And I can’t imagine it without you.
