Live or die

I never thought it would come to this my friends.
I never thought I would be standing here all alone.
I look around now and you’ve all gone.
Have I done you all wrong? Is that why you are gone?

I am standing here and the rain is coming down.
A cold hard rain fallin right on me.
I look up into the sky and all I see is rain.
I am hoping to see the answers to my problems.

The rain though is just not letting me see a damn thing.
Rain, rain, rainin down on me just so I can’t see.
I am here all alone on the top and looking down.
I am left with only two choices now.

Do I fight and live or do I just quit and die?
I have lost you all and so I am alone.
Alone here on top and in the rain.
My friends all gone. My mind is torn.

Fight and move on or maybe just lie down and rot away.
I am not sure which way it was meant to be.
Can I make it and tell your tale to the World?
Or am I destined to fall like you only after a few feet more.

We chose this path and thought we would all endure.
Make it to the very end and see the World before us.
Instead one by one we have fallen on the road to the top.
I am here and you are not. How can I enjoy this spot?

Should I fight and move on to live another day?
Or should I quit and lie here with all of you.
Your journey here has ended in such a tragic way.
How is my journey to end on this very day?

I sit in the rain and the drops fall off of me.
Tears are among them too cause I don’t want to leave you.
The choice is hard and the rain is making me cold.
I must choose between you and me.

Live and move on or die near you.
The choice is mine and I just can’t seem to walk away.
I can’t leave you behind. And I know the road ahead would never be the same.
My mind is split right in two. Here with you or down there with the World.

I must choose my fate as fate has chosen you.
You had no choice but the choice is mine.
And well, I chose you.
I close my eyes to lie near you.
Listening to the rain as I fade away too.
