mundane lockdown

Mundane lockdown

Thoughts swirling around inside my head.
Looking through the window.
Watch the gray skies overhead.
Planes fly to and fro.
Making the building shake if they are to low.
150 channels but nothing on.
Same old story today.
Same old song of yesterday.
Tomorrow holds the promise of more of the same.
I am in a mundane lockdown.
Surrounded by steel.
Surrounded by glass.
Bricks, tars, and cars.
Too many people.
Too many days of gray.
Not even a different shade on any day.
I am in a mundane lockdown.
My World is just spinning around.
Trapped in a city with no life.
Wishing only to set flight.
Wanting to see the color green.
No not the money kind.
Just the green of the trails.
Let me out of this mundane lockdown.
Let me out of this mundane lockdown.

Turn the skies blue.
And it is good to go too.
Let me get away from this World gray.
Let me get away today.
Buildings and more buildings.
Roads and more roads.
I want more and more trees.
I want more and more trails please.
I am in a mundane lockdown.

Let me out, let me out.
I am gonna go insane.
Let me out of this cage of a city.
Let me be free where I can roam.
No planes, no cars, no tar.
Let me out of this mundane lockdown.
Set me free.
Let me be me.
