Long ride

I know you know how I am feelin.
You been there before too.
It is a road familiar to many.
Sad but it is true.

The road of life is full of twists and turns.
Yields and merges spring out from everywhere.
Stop signs, grean lights are all their too.
Caution? I blow right on through.

Sometimes you need a hand to slow you down.
To guide you on the journey.
Sometimes you just get lost.
All the roads look the same.

Sometimes it feels they all lead to the same place.
Sometimes it feels like only your roads lead to the recycle bin.
It doesn't matter where you go or how you turn.
Your road just twists and turns.
You are simply along for the ride.

I wonder if it is time to find a new road.
Find a different place.
This drive is old.
I've lost my place.
Everything looks the same.
Everything blends together.
This seems like a long ride.
A very long ride.
