Singing your song

Singing your song

Sitting with my head down now.
Wishing the World would go away.
Wishing it would let me be alone.
Tears flowing from my own eyes.
Sadness filling my heart to the brim.

Just sitting here with my head down.
Everything spinning round and round.
Tears flowing to the ground.
Just wishing to be alone.
Hoping no more.
Hoping no more.

Chirp, tweet, tweet, chirp.
You say to me.
My head still down.
Your song grows louder.
Nearer you come.
Now right above me.
Singing your song.
For all the World to hear.

Sitting with my head down.
Just wanting to be alone.
You fly into my World.
And lift it up with your song.
Calling to your friends.
Asking them to sing along.
To sing you song too.
To lift me from my sad sorrow.

Tweet, tweet, twiddley tweet.
Chirp, chirp, tweet…
Your feathered friends sing along.
A symphony now around me.
Singing the song for me.
Singing the song for me.

My heart begins to fill with warmth.
Your song chases the darkness away.
The sorrow begins to fade.
Your song lifts my spirits.
My head soon follows too.
Thank you my little friends.
