Thinking of you.

There was something today that made me smile.
It made me think of you for a little while.
Time has come and gone since we last spoke.
You are still the one I miss and that is no joke.

Inside my heart is where you still roam.
I wish it where more often that you were home.
Just know that no matter how much time passes.
You are the one that makes me feel like molasses.

Stuck in time and waiting for you to realize what is before you.
What is it you may ask? Well it is me and my love for you.
Something clicked that day back when and I hoped it would never end.
In some ways it has and in others it still endures and fights on with no end.

You touched me in a way that made me feel alive.
Alive inside like I had never been. Alive, yes, alive again.
There was something special and I know you know that too.
I could see it in your eyes and felt it from you when you were in my arms.

Time comes and goes but there is often something makes you come alive to me.
Sometimes it is a smell, sometimes it is a stranger that looks like you, and sometimes it is a tingle inside.
No matter what it is it brings me right back to missing you.

So today right now I am thinking of you.
I thought maybe you should be reminded of just how special you are to me.
So today, tomorrow, and the many tomorrows yet to come…. I will be thinking of you.
Waiting for the day when you realize just what we could have between the two of us.
