Days are too long

Life can be tough sometimes.
We all have our days.
Days when we would rather be anywhere else.
Days when the minutes and even seconds seem to be longer than all the others.
Weary dreary teary days that somehow just sneak up on us.
Days that suck the energy right out of us.
We all have those days.

So don’t despair.
Take a deep breath of air.
Turn to me.
Cause I am here.
Lay your weary head on me.
I will gently play with your hair.
Soon you will forget it all dear.
Just close your eyes.
Close them and let dreams come.
Let dreams take you away from this day.
The one that seems oh so long.
When you wake.
I will still be holding you.
Still be comforting you.

No time has to be too tough.
Lean on me when you are weary dreary teary.
I will just open my arms and take you in.
They day will change then.
It is a promise from me to you.
Come to me when the days are too long.
