Her eyes sparkled.
Green but gray to me.
Energy flowed from her.
Giddy even too.
A smile so wide and beautiful too.
She moved with grace.
Never looking out of place.
Bouncing from one to another.
I can’t imagine keeping pace.
Finally my turn for her time.
Her eyes though are different.
Different up close.
No lies or spoken words can hide.
The simple fact there is pain in those eyes.
Confusion is surely inside.
A shaken confidence.
A sad heart.
A scared girl.
Yes I can see it all through those eyes.
Their beauty captivates me.
Their truth saddens me.
Come to me if you dare.
I will help in your despair.
It is safe here.
Look in my eyes
